⚠️ Fraud Alert: Unauthorized Use of The Darl Name & Website lookalike
Important Notice from The Darl (www.thedarl.com)
To our community, partners, and prospective customers:
It has come to our attention that an unauthorized party is impersonating our company — using the name The Darl, our branding, and a website copied from ours — in order to commit fraud and deceive unsuspecting individuals.
What’s happening
- Fraudsters are using our protected name and logo without permission, falsely presenting themselves as The Darl.
- They are using the name and likeness of our founder/CEO without consent to create a false sense of legitimacy and trust.
- They have duplicated visual design, messaging, copy, and layout from our website to misrepresent themselves as our official site.
- Through this deception, they may attempt to solicit money, personal or financial information, or other sensitive data from people under false pretenses.
Please know: this is NOT us.
We are not affiliated with, nor do we endorse, any such site, communication, or activity.
Why this matters
- Using our trademarked name and branding without permission misleads people into believing they’re working with our legitimate company.
- Impersonating our founder undermines our integrity and can result in real harm — financial or otherwise — to trusting individuals.
- Duplicated sites can damage our brand’s reputation, confuse customers and prospective partners, and expose them to scams.
What to do if you encounter suspicious activity
If you see any site, message, social-media profile, advertisement, or communication claiming to represent The Darl — and it includes our name, logo, founder’s name/portrait, or a website that looks like ours — please:
- Do not respond.
- Do not provide any personal, financial, or sensitive information.
- Do not send money or make payments based on that communication.
- Report the incident to us immediately. Contact us at report@thedarl.com.
- If you’ve shared any sensitive info or made a payment, consider reporting the fraud to your bank or credit provider.
- You may also report the scam to relevant authorities, such as the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or your local law enforcement agency.
What we are doing
We take this matter very seriously. We are:
- Investigating the unauthorized use of our brand and identity.
- Working with legal counsel and appropriate authorities to pursue takedown and enforcement actions.
- Monitoring for any further misuse of our name or assets.
How to verify you’re dealing with the real The Darl
- Only trust official communications from email domains ending in @thedarl.com.
- Always check for correct spelling of our brand name — misspellings or slight variations are a common red flag.
- If in doubt, reach out to us directly at hello@thedarl.com to confirm.
- Double-check URLs: legitimate pages will always be on thedarl.com — not other domains or subdomains.
Thank you for your vigilance and support. We are committed to protecting our community and maintaining the trust you place in The Darl.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us — we appreciate you helping to keep everyone safe.
Sincerely,
The Darl Team
