execution in business

My Vision Board Didn’t Build This Agency (My Calendar Did)

April 17, 2026

Living in Los Angeles, I’m constantly surrounded by “the vibe.”

From crystal shops in Venice to high-level masterminds where people spend hours discussing intentions and success frequencies—there’s a strong focus on manifestation. And to be clear, I believe in vision. Knowing where you’re going matters.

But as someone who naturally leans toward action (and honestly, can’t sit still for long), I’ve noticed a growing problem in the business world:

People have become addicted to feeling productive instead of actually being productive.

We’ve turned manifestation into a full-time job—while forgetting that results come from execution. The truth is simple:

The universe doesn’t respond to your vision board. It responds to your output.

The Manifestation Trap in Business

In marketing, this often shows up as what I call “vibe-based strategy.”

It’s the brand that:

  • Spends months choosing the perfect shade of “celestial blue”
  • Writes a 50-page mission statement about changing the world
  • But never sets up an email flow or analyzes conversion data

They’re dreaming about scaling—but avoiding the daily work required to get there.

Lighting a candle won’t fix a high bounce rate.
Meditating on abundance won’t repair a broken checkout process.

Without execution, all you’re “manifesting” is stagnation.

The Data Behind the Execution Gap

From a strategic perspective, the gap between intention and action is where most businesses fail.

  • The Execution Gap: Research from Harvard Business Review shows that 67% of strategies fail due to poor execution—not bad ideas
  • Planning Paralysis: Overthinking and “mental simulation” can trick your brain into feeling progress, reducing real-world action
  • Consistency Wins: In business, consistent execution always outperforms inspiration

The brands that succeed aren’t the most “aligned”—they’re the most consistent.

Manifesting Through Action

I recently talked about this concept: Manifesting by Action.

Your real “frequency” is defined by your output:

  • How quickly you take action
  • How often you iterate
  • How willing you are to adapt

For me, my “vision board” is my calendar.

business growth strategy

Growth comes from:

  • Reviewing data
  • Refining creative
  • Publishing consistently

While others wait for perfect timing, doers build momentum.

Stop Dreaming, Start Doing

If you’ve been “manifesting” growth but seeing no results, it’s time to shift your focus.

Stop looking at ideas—start looking at systems.

Marketing isn’t magic. It’s execution.

You don’t need better vibes.
You need better consistency.

Start building. Start shipping. Start moving.

Let’s stop talking about what we’re going to build and start showing what we’ve already started.

To big visions—and even bigger actions,
