Integrated Marketing in Action: The IEMA System with Lara Schmoisman

Episode 222 – Coffee N°5 – Integrated Marketing in Action: The IEMA System with Lara Schmoisman

Content isn’t just content—it’s your strategy in action. On this solo episode of Coffee Nº5, I walk through the IEMA system, my framework for content that actually delivers results. Informative, entertaining, memorable, actionable—these are the four pillars every piece of content should hit. We cover SEO, AI-ready websites, social media, newsletters, and why integrated marketing beats siloed growth every time. No fluff, no shortcuts, just strategy you can execute.

We’ll talk about:

  • Why dividing branding and growth is a mistake—and the power of integrated marketing
  • The IEMA system: Informative, Entertaining, Memorable, Actionable
  • How to make every piece of content work smarter, not just fill a feed
  • Why SEO and AI-readiness are table stakes in today’s marketing ecosystem
  • How to measure content effectively and avoid “doing things just to do them”

Hi guys, welcome back to coffee number five. Today I have something a little different for you. You’re normally come here and you’re expecting a meaningful conversation to meet someone new or maybe someone that you knew about and then you can learn some more. Well, today I think I was talking to my team and I realized that I wanted to bring up something to you guys that is not normally what I do, but

I it’s important. So I want to tell you about the IEMA system. This is something that I started many years ago when I was teaching and I realized back then it wasn’t so important to have an ecosystem because as you know the ecosystem had changed a lot and as today every part of the ecosystem needs to be connected with other parts.

You cannot have any more social media without having some SEO, including social media, even for newsletters, you need SEO. Let’s not even talk about your website. Your website needs to be structured for AI and need to be structured for searchability. So everything is about being visible right now, but being visible. I’ve seen this done so many times. So that’s why I want to create this little podcast for you.

that right now we’re dividing everything or most people are dividing everything between branding and growth. And that’s a no-no for me. For me, the important thing is to do integrated marketing. We can have tons of conversations about this and we can discuss all you want, how important is to do things for growth and visibility. They are, but we cannot forget who we are, who we are as a brand and who are we talking to.

So this system that I started many years ago, as I mentioned before, it’s called the IEMX system. So let’s break it down. I is for informative. Everything you do and everything we’re going to be talking right now is in every piece of content that is created by you, that is for your website, social media, ⁓ PR, whatever you do, you need to have these four values included.

So the first one is informative. Every piece of content that you are offering to your audience, needs to be informative. The second one is entertaining. If you don’t provide the content in a way that is entertaining to read or entertaining to see or make you feel like you want to watch or you want to, you’re in the feed and you want to stop, then it’s not worth it. Memorable.

You want to be different. Stop copying everything. I mean, if you’re doing a trend, okay, whatever, you can do a trend, but every piece of content needs to be memorable. It shouldn’t be the same as everyone is doing. So be unique. Show that you are unique. And you know, for example, you’ve read my newsletters. My newsletters are mine and are my stories, are my personality. I make them memorable. And the last one is actionable.

every piece of content needs to be created in an action. So an action could be a CTA that takes you to the website to purchase a product, a like. So you need to be aware of what action you want your audience to create for your audience. So you need to make sure that those contents are valuable and also you can measure. So what do you want for this content? You want someone to like it?

or you want someone to purchase, it’s really important to measure the right goals. Otherwise, you’re doing things just whatever, and I see this too, too much. So I just want to get this little nugget, this little capsule of information for you out there, and maybe let me know if you like it, and I should do it more often. So don’t forget about the IEMA system, informative, entertaining, memorable, actionable.

See you next time! Get your coffee ready!
